Before you start
OrbitConvert accepts MOV video input in its MP4 to MP3 workflow. On iPhone, the file picker may show locations from Photos and Files depending on the browser and iOS version. Keep the video available on the device and use a stable network connection for upload.
Steps
- Open the MP4 to MP3 converter in your browser.
- Tap the upload control and select the MOV video. If it is not visible in the picker, save or export a copy to Files, then choose it from there.
- Choose the output audio settings and start conversion.
- When conversion finishes, use the download control and confirm the MP3 appears in the browser's downloads or Files location.
- Play the downloaded file and check the beginning, middle, and end.
If upload or conversion fails
Confirm that the selected item is a video file and that the upload completes before leaving the page. Try a shorter test clip if the original is very large or long. If the browser interrupts the transfer, keep the page open and retry on a reliable connection. A MOV container does not guarantee that every file uses the same internal video and audio codecs, so an unusual or damaged file may still fail processing.
The converter extracts audio; it does not copy the video's picture into the MP3. Keep your original video if you may need it later.
Find the video in Photos or Files
On iPhone, a video recorded with the Camera app commonly appears in Photos first. If the upload picker does not show Photos, use the option to browse files or export a copy of the video to the Files app. You can then select a location such as On My iPhone or iCloud Drive, depending on where you saved it. The exact wording and picker layout can vary with iOS and browser versions, but choosing the file through the system picker avoids relying on a page-specific photo library view.
If you export or move a copy, wait until that transfer finishes before starting the upload. A cloud-only file may need to download to the device before the browser can read it. Keep enough free storage for both the video and the downloaded MP3, especially when working with long recordings. Do not close the browser tab while a large upload or conversion is in progress.
